Brosnan and Moore may not be substitutes for Tracy and Hepburn, but they're more than capable of making you smile for now.
  2. For comedy, director Peter Howitt relies on halfhearted slapstick as the script contains little of the sharp dialogue one might expect from a script written at least in part by Harling ("Steel Magnolias," "Soapdish").
  3. Laughably predictable and lamentably unfunny, Laws of Attraction practically creaks from the effort exerted by its cast, straining to bring snap and panache to a hackneyed exercise. Sno Ball, anyone?

It´s a romantic comedy, not the best, but still good. It´s not like you will be laughting all the smile, this movie makes you smiling more. And because I like Pierce Brosnan, I like Julianne, so I like this movie too. But it´s a little more forgotable than I would like it to be. Expand

  2. Though it's not good enough to make you forget the Tracy-Hepburn comedies, it is good enough to make you remember them. Brosnan is funnier than I ever imagined. Expand

"Laws of Attraction" is of little merit and even less consequence. The only good things about it are the performances of Julianne Moore, Frances Fisher and Nora Dunn. The less said about Pierce Brosnan, the better, and Parker Posey needs to stop playing Parker Posey. Some people have compared this nonsense to "Adam's Rib," but I have a feeling that nobody connected with it has ever seen or even heard of that gem. Expand
