  1. Within the limitations of the script, both stars shine. Moore displays a wonderful flair for self-deprecating farce, and Brosnan is cumulatively endearing as her unflappable nemesis.

A tame, fitfully amusing and generally inoffensive romantic comedy.
  3. Operates on such outdated, unimaginative conventions of movie chemistry that Moore and Brosnan end up appearing older and stodgier than necessary.
  4. The larger question is not whether these two will wind up together, but rather, if the filmmakers wanted to make a teen movie, why didn't they use real teenagers?
  5. Nothing about Laws of Attraction is remotely original; even its title has the dull ring of the generic, like "Opposites Attract" or "He Said, She Said." See it or don't. You will never notice the difference.

This shabby enterprise gets so many things so wrong that it freezes your face into a cringe.

It´s not like you will be laughting all the smile, this movie makes you smiling more. And because I like Pierce Brosnan, I like Julianne, so I like this movie too. But it´s a little more forgotable than I would like it to be. Expand

"Laws of Attraction" is of little merit and even less consequence. The only good things about it are the performances of Julianne Moore, "Laws of Attraction" is of little merit and even less consequence. The only good things about it are the performances of Julianne Moore, Frances Fisher and Nora Dunn. The less said about Pierce Brosnan, the better, and Parker Posey needs to stop playing Parker Posey. Some people have compared this nonsense to "Adam's Rib," but I have a feeling that nobody connected with it has ever seen or even heard of that gem. Expand
