  1. There's nothing new here, but Frank provides a genial reminder that politics doesn't always have to take the low road.

A fascinating portrait of an era, as well as of a unique public servant.
  3. The outspoken congressman is just as entertaining as his liberal fans already know him to be.

So while the facts of Frank's actual political career tend to fall by the wayside, Everly treats us to an insightful look at a remarkable public figure who first became famous for what he does in private.
  5. Squanders its potentially rich possibilities.

Let's Get Frank is hardly frank enough.
  7. Has no interest in exploring Mr. Frank's family background or love life. This frustrating lack of context leaves you wanting a lot more in the way of texture.

Bart Everly followed Frank around for two years, yet his film seems to consist mostly of regurgitated C-Span and news footage from the period, interspersed with asides from the outspoken liberal.
  9. 30
Everly tries to patch together a profile out of borrowed news clips and shoddy videography. In the process, Frank's charisma and force never emerge.
