Mirror Mirror has a great deal of energy and wit and color, so much that it sometimes threatens to go right over the top. Somehow, though, it always stops short of being just too much.

The finery and regalia of their contributions are integral to Singh's vision, giving this mostly conventional princess story its fair share of romantic froth and more than a little moxie.

I've been told the movie plays best with very young girls. That's an insult very young girls should not be forced to endure.

  1. The critics really need to lighten up, this is pure fun entertainment. Mirror Mirror wasn't good, it was great. The cast was hilariously perfect. Julia Roberts is a constant scene-stealer, Armie Hammer was the perfect prince, the dwarves were funny, and hot newcomer Lily Collins was solid. Goofy entertainment for the kids and the script was extremely funny, adults will love all the double entendre's and some social commentary on the upper classes that govern the people. Singh even managed to fit in some hilarious lines on forced inter-species intercourse that had me burst with laughter in the theatre. Stay for the credits to see Snow White's Bollywood-inspired end. Will definitely watch it again Expand

  2. Although it tries to be good, Mirror Mirror just ends up being what you would expect from a movie adaption of Snow White.

  3. The young children in the audience seemed to enjoy the film, but this is not a film for adults. The script is weak, the acting is all over the place. Julia Roberts is fine, and the Prince is played well by Armie Hammer, but actors are only as good as the lines given to them. There was no sense of wonder, and the humor for adults is non-existant. The story line is changed up from the traditional version which didn't bother me, but some of the changes are ludicrous, such as the dwarfs running around on stilts, and the amazing/ridiculous things the dwarfs can do on the stilts. I never laughed once during the film. I did enjoy some of the look and costumes. Overall very disappointing. Expand
