Wonderful spirit, humanity and humor.
Streep is simply amazing to behold, an actress who invests every fiber of her being -- every gesture, every inflection, every strand of hair -- into her performance.

Meryl Streep once again proves how good she is. I really liked this movie and Meryl deserves the nomination for best actress at the Oscars. really good movie.

Tear-inducing feel-gooder that only a curmudgeon could find fault with.
So sloppily and unabashedly sentimental that it can make you laugh and cry at the same time -- and often at the same things.
Falls flat for its skittish reluctance to bear any resemblance to an actual Wes Craven film.
A sentimental epic that forgets to include the sentiment
Watching Meryl Streep act can be an exhausting experience - and never more so than during Music of the Heart.
Before she signed on, Meryl Streep had never seen any of Wes Craven's movies, calling herself a "wimp" in regards to horror films. However, Streep's teenaged son lauded Craven's skills as a storyteller and she respected his success in the genre, so she signed on. The two enjoyed working together, with Craven saying that Streep "took me as an equal, as a collaborator and that was just a huge honor."

I don't see what everyone is on about. This is just another average film which is severely overrated because of celebrity worship. I hate these kinds of my films and they are just the same recycled garbage.
