Rudy Mancuso is an internet musician personality who stars and directed this unique romcom. He has synesthesia, which means he hears sounds around him and composes them into songs. This translates into energetic, delightful music/dance numbers that spontaneously pop up. He's also added some cinematic tricks and quirky elements like a talking puppet. The result is a fun musical treat with a Brazillinan beat wrapped in a charming little comedy.

Sure, Música stomps its way into some cheesy pitfalls, but it’s also an unusually refreshing rom-com.
From its compelling topic choice, a star-making lead role, stellar ensemble cast, and crafty execution, Música is a must-see.
Right to the end, Música becomes more than just another bland romcom. It’s about finding love when living with a disability, it’s about finding music wherever it may be, and it’s about our connection to our culture and our family.
De uma energia inexplicável, você vê que é um filme diferente quando os protagonistas são os próprios produtores executivos e o diretor do longa. Focando na história de um emigrante latino nos EUA (mexicano, brasileiro, tanto faz), apaixonadíssimo por música, o filme é extremamente gracioso na composição do seu personagem.
Com muita criatividade para retratar o ambiente de imersão rítmica vivido pelo Rudy, com muitas gags visuais e alívios fantasiosos (uma delícia a interação com o fantoche), o filme vai nos conquistando aos poucos, muito por conta da produção mesmo. Infelizmente algumas atuações estão bem abaixo, como o tom sempre over da mãe.
Ainda assim, quando o filme quase vai pra comédia romântica, é na verdade uma trajetória sobre o encontrar-se, que me lembrou um pouco "A pior pessoa do mundo", mas por um viés masculino e mais lúdico, e claro, muito mais modesto, mas tão eficiente quanto.
