The cast is excellent, and while the script could've been tighter and more even (especially in regards to the past), Night Train to Lisbon is still very good arthouse fun.

Great film. It's an adventure on real life, an adult movie, in the sense teenagers will find nothing for them here, no boobs, no blood, no explosions. Very poetic with beautiful locations and historical insights into Portuguese dictatorshipGreat film. This film is gripping, nicely-paced, and lovely to look at. The shift between the earlier years and the present is skillfully executed, the two sets of actors excellent.
