  • Summary: Jack Bishop lives the life of every man’s dream with a beautiful wife and a happy, healthy daughter, Toby. He has the career he always wanted and a loving home in a peaceful Texas border town. But it is no coincidence that Jack’s life seems perfect. His past hides a black secret, one he hides from his family, one he hides from himself. When Toby goes missing, Jack knows his past has come back to haunt him. He also knows the only way he can find her is to use the powers of his long forgotten faith, La Santa Muerte, protectors of the sinner, the worshippers of the dead. (Anchor Bay Entertainment)

  1. The cast sparkles especially Simon Baker, a sturdy leading-man type, who is primed to break through any day now, and Paz Vega, already a star in Latin market.

Despite teasing hints of supernatural influences throughout much of the storyline, Not Forgotten satisfies as a solidly crafted and persuasively acted thriller that relies more on dark secrets than black magic.
  3. The film moves swiftly and vividly, but in retrospect, numerous plot holes come to mind. Not Forgotten presents a fascinating microcosm but ultimately loses believability when placed in a larger context.
  4. Reviewed by: Mike Hale
A lurid yet plodding thriller, bobs to the surface in theaters, most likely to the chagrin of the now very hot Simon Baker.
  5. Reviewed by: Gary Goldstein
A movie that's more convoluted than satisfying.
  6. A film that could have been memorably haunting is, sadly, all too forgettable
  7. None of it makes any sense, but it is just nutty enough to provide a few (entirely unintended) laughs.

Outstanding thriller with twists and turns and a menacing end.

I just watched this film and I've already completely forgotten it. Simon Baker was some sort of father-assassin, fumbling through garbage dialogue and a wickedly bad story, while acting generally like talentless eunich. Expand
