  1. The line between cool and cold is a thin one, however. Cool isn't the word for "Thirteen"; it's just smug.

Now, Soderbergh has made a movie so cool it's practically comatose. Sputtering along from one half-cocked gag line and self-satisfied in-joke to the next, Ocean's Thirteen is as slapdash and slipshod a three-quel as any in this summer's box-office sweepstakes.

See it if you must, but don't forget to pack the Air Wick. These breezy doings are mustier than a Glitter Gulch casino at 4 a.m.

Its somewhat shallow and flies up and down with the plot often, but it's still one damn good Las Vegas thriller. Brad Pitt did all Its somewhat shallow and flies up and down with the plot often, but it's still one damn good Las Vegas thriller. Brad Pitt did all right, but I saw him giggling to himself in a couple of scenes which gave his character a huge letdown. But George Clooney, trying to hold his sneaky smile, isn't much of the leader any more. The whole group works together and pones Willie Bank's casino down to the ground. Sure its a film to go see in the theatres, see a week after it comes out after you've read all the reviews in the paper and go to the 8:00 cineplex show, then watch it in a cheap theatre really late. Then rent it the day it comes out and watch it that night. A couple of months later, get it for Christmas and watch it that night. By that time, you'll be sick of it. But you'll still enjoy it.
