    Hey, this is a great flick capturing not only its time but examining timeless questions of what constitutes the creative process. Jagger does "Memo From Turner", a very early and still powerful rock video turn. James Fox's icy "performance" as a mob enforcer and subsequent identity breakdown in Turner's mansion led to a 20 year self-imposed absence from performing roles for Hey, this is a great flick capturing not only its time but examining timeless questions of what constitutes the creative process. This is heavy stuff. Admittedly the working class English accents challenge some Yankee frequency ears. Like the dense and stunning visuals, the sound track demands your concentration. If you review/watch sitcoms for a living, I can understand how this material would be challenging. The opening image of a swooshing flyby from an SR-71 tells you it is going to be a rush of a trip. If you can handle Conrad and Faulkner and want a taste of The Sixties zietgeist, you will find "Performance" richly rewarding. Expand
