JackR.Jun 7, 200310It's got all the balls in it's oversized sac. A bloody excellent movie! And if anyone disagrees, send them round, I'll show them the meaning of stand and deliver.

Oct 24, 20108It would seem to be a somewhat accurate depiction of an interesting age and conveys a lot of atmosphere. The cinematography is excellent. The interactions between the characters are entertaining. The soundtrack is unusual and very good. And Liv Tyler is gorgeous (!).

Apr 28, 20112I really despise the user reviews on metacritic, especially when this is one of the highest rated. It's just not a fun movie to watch, the comedy is incredibly dry and not funny, there is no real sense of adventure as all the environments are neither impressive or grand, and the acting could use some serious work.

40It doesn't really hang together. And waaay too much style. Pity.

80Lewd, crude and occasionally too brutal to take, it's also gorgeous, heartfelt.

79A cross between a Hogarth painting and an MTV video, Plunkett & Macleane cuts quite a swath.
