    I don't agree with the critics of this film. i got a very good sense of johnny's work ethic, prodigious talent, and self assurance from this film. the opening sequence is majestic. so what if the film is essentially a love story? weir loves himself and than God for him.

    One part hagiography and two parts psychotherapy. Together they showcase a talent both formidable and erratic, its bright and shining peaks sliding inexplicably into valleys of disaster.
