Through this ambitious two-part series (which reportedly has three or possibly six more installments in the offing), Snyder has labored over his influences to the degree that watching it will be a riot for the devoted and feel like work for everyone else. Either way, Snyder’s passion remains his strength.
Alas, the characters and dialogue remain clunky, which shouldn’t be surprising given how derivative almost every beat of this is, down to the robot voiced by Anthony Hopkins.

"Rebel Moon Pt 2" (4/19/24, Netflix, Dir: Zach Snyder) Wow, just wow. RM Pt1 was good, very good, but this Part 2 takes it to another level! Zach Snyder brought alot of the magic of "300" to make this a spectacular event. This is a "Star Wars" that Kathleen Kennedy and her minions could never make. This is a masterpiece of the genre - and I NEVER say that about anything. Sofia B. makes a decent enough protag but Ed Skrein as Atticus Noble makes a deliciously evil villain, even more so in this outing. But let's go back to Zach for a moment. This film shows you the potential that can be realized when you let an A-list personality produce, write, direct, and do the cinematography for an action/adventure film. Few have tried, and most fail, but Zach scores big here. And the final five minutes set the stage for what the Part 3 story would be, so here's to hoping Netflix does the Right Thing by Greenlighting it!

Increíble, es una película excelente, todo el hate que le ha caído por ser dirigida por Zack Snyder es incomprensible. Es el nacimiento de una nueva franquicia cinematográfica, de la cual espero seguir viendo películas.
La película sigue la misma estructura que la primera a nivel argumental, primero desarrollo de personajes y contexto, para posteriormente deleitar a los espectadores con unas de las mejores escenas de acción. La producción y fotografía están a otro nivel, por momentos parece que estés dentro de un videojuego.
Además, la película esta libre de cualquier propaganda política, hay personas de todas las culturas y sexos y todas asumen roles de todo tipo según el contexto de la película.
Tengo muchas ganas de que se estrene la versión completa sin censura, va a ser una maldita pasada. Zack sigue con esta franquicia y haz más películas, eres un crack.

Snyder provides an ample display of the visual flair and skill for action that have endeared him to legions of fans who exhibit so much dedication that they’re willing to sit through numerous versions of his films.
Marginally better than Part One, but still a weird, messy and humourless sci-fi that gives you little reason to cheer the potential continuation of this Snyderverse.
The Scargiver is at least basic enough to feel relatively inoffensive; the first film’s uncomfortably vague deployment of racist and sexual violence has been reduced to a single reference to the empire’s hatred of “ethnic impurity” (never to be picked up again).
More is often less in “Rebel Moon—Part 2: The Scargiver,” not only when it comes to the movie’s sweaty, vein-activating performances, but also its over-exaggerated and under-choreographed action scenes.
Much like ‘A Child Of Fire,’ “The Scargiver” is exhausting, enervating, and exasperating, frantically flailing around with explosions, lasers, laser lightsaber-like swords, grenades, et al., but always failing to make you give a damn.
RM part 2 was decent but not that great. The story is painfully slow for the first half. With poor dialogues, overuse of slow mo (yes, again slow mo for farming). The flashback works in some cases, at least. They really missed an opportunity with the robot. Story wise it's a big miss. The CGI is a mix bag. Some feels cheesy, some are great. The actors are still average by any standard, except General Titus which at least shows intensity. I give it 60%. You can skip to 1:28 minutes if you want to watch the best part only.

Snyder's take on Star Wars meets The Maginificent 7 is a dull and shallow experience. Characters lack depth, dialogues are mediocre, the execution of fights is poor, just like the acting and the overall experience is a big 'meh'.
It's just bad. On all levels. Also - it 's completely predictable (well it's M7, so we know what we will get, but still - some good could be delivered), but still we get nothing.
The fun part is...there's gonna be a third movie, which means Netflix is going balls-deep into this ****.
I am a hardcore fan of both SW and M7 (watched the second iteration like a dozen times in my youth) and this thing insults both the original trilogy and the american remake of M7.
Save your breath.

The game is very simple: if you lower your expectations everything looks good to us. Just don't care about the plot, the depth of the characters, the story, and it will turn out to be a great movie like those of Marvel superheroes or Fast&Furious.
There is a robot with horns and a crown of flowers who could open a world of his own about the technologies of this human race from the Mother World, or the existential dilemmas of these death-bringing machines in the universe, but he is completely ignored and we only remember him for destroying a tank in 10 seconds.A pity because it could have been an opportunity to create a new cinematic universe.
