The acting in the film is grade-A, with Stallone bringing the more mumbled Rocky from the first film spliced with some rousing inspirational monologues when the moment is right (not forced, not preachy… just perfect).
You know surprisingly while i'm watching this one scene in the film and it's a very very powerful scene, i just realized that out of all five Rocky movie that i've watch, i've never mention a word "Inspiring", sure there is always one or two inspiring scene in the whole Rocky franchise but never as a whole, 16 years since the last Rocky movie, Rocky Balboa was just amazing, this is not one of those returns that are it's exciting because there is a new opponent who challenge Rocky and of course Rocky accept it even though he is old now, this movie is more than that, the loss, the friendship, the family, they really deepened that issue more and that's better because it creates this emotional journey after all those years, and it works perfectly, Sylvester Stallone and Burt Young performance are better than ever, Milo Ventimiglia as Rocky son was really good, and who would've thought that Little Marie from the first movie will be this very important and emotional characters in this film, while not played by the same actress, Geraldine Hughes was incredible as her, and Mason Dixon played by Antonio Tarver was a great opponent, Rocky Balboa is again very emotional and amazing, it's hard to get this type of thing right but Sylvester Stallone was smart enough to be the one that responsible, and it works again perfectly, i love this movie so much, i really really enjoyed it, and i ain't gonna lie to you that this movie made me have a glasses eyes couple of time, overall Rocky Balboa is one of the best sports movie i've seen, and it's also the most inspiring, the most emotional, and the most importantly the best one in the franchise, it's perfect.
The sweetest inspirational and great movie, its the best in franchise after 1st one literally every scene was worth watching it was like i had big satisfying smile on my face throughout the movie it was **** music was **** story was brilliant, the acting was iconic and great the old little girl and her child and Rocky jr grown up it was amazing, the starting scenes the Rocky's vision for better society and the memory revisit in loss of Adrian the flashbacks were emotional and beautiful, the whole getting old thing for Paulie and Rocky was fun to watch the old little girl side relationship was beautifully developed the Rocky's restaurant was amazing, the father son thing was emotionally great the starting job scene and whole obsession of Jr to be dump down as Rocky's son and the speech of Rocky in street about the getting up it was literally inspirational and brilliant, the TV fight thing was awesome then the whole match hyping up resulting in Rocky's hunger for passion for fight then the Licence thing the speech was strong and brilliant then the approval to fight and the Training Montages were literally Iconic and amazing, the Adrian's visiting things were emotional, the ending fight the opponent's underestimation of Rocky resulting in pure stunning fight for him the intensity and such beast thing of rocky the dedication was inspirational and brilliant the whole fight was awesome as hell ended with brilliant and high note it was incredible, the Crowded cheering for Rocky at last was beautiful and satisfying end to Rocky's career literally the whole movie is worth experiencing its the sweetest, beautiful, iconic, inspirational, entertaining and incredible movie its a pure Masterpiece!
Surprisingly Rocky Balboa, is no embarrassment. Like its forerunners it goes the distance almost in spite of itself. It's all heart and no credibility except as a raw-boned fable.
If you hear the Rocky theme and think '118 118', you might wonder what all the fuss is about. For the rest of us, this is a reminder of why we fell in love with the character in the first place.
Above all this is a film for gluttons for punishment, for those who never ever can get enough of Sylvester Stallone. Everyone else, please leave the building.
Rocky Balboa, again, makes a terrific honor to his name and the film's. This is a totally dramatic and action-packed film, that shows Rocky Balboa's past and present, fighting for him, one more time. Rocky's fans will never be disappointed with this masterpiece.
The main problem of the movie is the credibility. So a 50+ year old man is boxing again after many years and fights against the dominating world champion...this is ridiculous, just like the fighting scenes without any defense. But the best part in the Rocky series is the character and story part for me, and this time they didnt kick so much like in the other Rocky parts.
ONE OF THE WORST MOVIES ever all they did was talk the whole time and rocky was like 60 fighting a 25 yr old and the match wasnt even legit this movie **** id rather be someones slave then watch it ever again.
