Don't expect much from the scratch-and-sniff "odorama" gimmick; the mischievous John Waters set a higher standard for that novelty in "Polyester" (1981).
Slapstick and potty humor for the kids, sly allusions and famous voices for the adults, and a light coating of aren't-we-lucky-to-have-each-other schmaltz at the very end - yep, Nickelodeon has the family-flick formula pretty much down.

if you thought the first rugrats was the best in the series then you haven't seen this and the rugrats in paris one cause you have no idea what your missing out.

The frenetic pace detracts from the film's wealth of personalities and vivid visuals. There's the unshakable sense that Rugrats Go Wild is trying too hard to please kids and adults and as a result falls somewhat short for both sets of viewers.
Though the energy occasionally flags, the movie does a nice job of exploiting the crossover potential.
Its pleasures are slight and fleeting, and so many movies have done what it does, and done it much better, that there's nothing to get even remotely excited about - much less to draw audiences into theaters.
Paramount Pictures proudly informs us that the PG rating is for “mild, crude humor.” Too mild, too crude by far. If I were you, I’d take the wee ones and run for the vastly superior “Finding Nemo.”
It's an uncoordinated, flailing hodgepodge of music videos, chases, crashes and moronic plot twists.
This was such a great movie when I watched it. This movie is just something to go for. And whenever I want to watch a crossover movie, I would just watch this. Grade: 7.2/10. B.

You win some, you lose some I guess. As exciting of an idea of a "Rugrats" film featuring characters from "The Wild Thornberrys" may be, the execution just isn't there. It features plenty of great characters from the shows, and it's not too badly animated, but it's just too by-the-numbers and it lacks the charm featured in the previous Rugrats films. If you have kids and they enjoy either show, it should be harmless enough for them, but otherwise, just watch "Rugrats in Paris: The Movie" again.

There's once again another Rugrats movie to review! What to think about this movie? Even though it's nostalgia for some people, it's a poor installment against the two predecessors. I think this crossover with the Wild Thornberrys could work off as a made-for-TV special and not a theatrical film.
