    The big, burly Samoan Wedding is a shrewdly written, impeccably timed and audaciously played romantic comedy.

    The all-Polynesian cast, many of whom developed this material as part of a theater troupe called "The Naked Samoans," bring so much energy and glee to the telling that one can only smile and hope they all profit wildly from the American remake that's reportedly in the works.

    Great humor but damn what's up with all the "dick" jokes...I think the movie and the storyline itself would have been just as effective without the "ghetto dick" language. Overall, I loved it. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to a sequel along the storyline of the romantic antics of these crazy & funny stars.… Expand

    Sione is getting married and has decided that he does not want his brother Michael and his three party-boys mates to attend. They have nearly ruined every other wedding they have attended. But ultimately they are given a chance to attend if they must bring real girl-friends, not party-girls, to the wedding and they have one month to pull it together. This comedy set in Auckland about first generation Samoan New Zealanders starts a bit slow, but by the time of the wedding it gains speed and becomes the urban romantic comedy it wasmeant to be. If you are not Samoan, nor familiar with Samoan New Zealanders, you might not appreciate the inside humor, but the writing and acting is good enough to make this a light-hearted romp worthy of a view.… Expand
