• Starring: Justin Louis, Scott Patterson, Tobin Bell
  • Summary: Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda are dead. Upon the news of Detective Kerry's murder, two seasoned FBI profilers, Agent Strahm and Agent Perez, arrive at the depleted police precinct to help veteran Detective Hoffman sift through Jigsaw's latest grisly game of victims, as well as piece together the puzzle. But then SWAT Commander Rigg, the last officer untouched by Jigsaw, is suddenly abducted. Thrust into the madman's harrowing game, the officer has but 90 minutes to overcome a series of interconnected traps...or face the deadly consequences. Rigg's citywide pursuit leaves a wake of dead bodies, while Detective Hoffman and the FBI uncover long-hidden clues that lead them back to Jigsaw's ex-wife Jill. The genesis of Jigsaw's evil is unveiled, exposing the puppet master's true intentions, as well as the sinister plan for his past, present, and future victims. (Lionsgate) Expand

  1. Director Darren Lynn Bousman, who also helmed the past two installments, doesn't deviate from the stylistic formula, which includes grinding industrial music, frenzied editing and a blue-gray color palette.
  2. If an hour and a half of so-called "torture porn" sounds like fun, you'll find Saw IV situated somewhere between the first in the cycle (a solid original with plenty of energy in it) and the last (a gasping copycat willing to do anything to stay alive).

It's a depressing experience to view something like Saw IV. It's not just the soullessness that's dispiriting, but the lack of invention. When a movie does little more than repeat what its predecessors accomplished with grotesque effectiveness, it's past time to tip this corpse into its grave and bury it.

Apparently a lot of people watched the movies and didn't light up that they aren't what it looks like. They were like pieces of the big picture. If you'd like to know why you think they're stupid, well i will tell you...These movies are like one big puzzle. Each movie connects the pieces together and the 4th one really did introduce new hidden parts of it. All of the movies are very interesting and all of them twist in a way to keep your attention if your IQ is not that low enough to get it. IF you want to watch just horror and be left with good impressions of SAW then watch the 1st or 2nd one IF you want blood and slaughter, well all of them got it and IF you watched them and understood how entertaining the story is, well let's hope they keep it this way And i certainly don't think the ideas are ran out. Actually it seems like it is one big idea ever since the 1st one. Expand

  2. "Saw 4" is battered with preposterous Cliches and silly characters with dumb, idiotic plot twist. They should have stopped their Jigsaw game at "Saw 3". Expand

Wow. People who enjoy this garbage need to realize these movies achieve nothing. They express some failed writers narcissistic bondage fetish. It needs to stop and people need to stop condoning this act of attrition on the art of film. Expand
