    Unlike so many other movies of literary provenance, it is clear from the start that this one is going to be entertainment, not homework. Lee serves up this sweetmeat without fuss, without the super-seriousness of filmmakers awed by their literary material.

    Excellent love story, Jane Austen's style of ironic writing shines through. Kudos to Ang Lee and Emma Thompson!

    Lovely film! Laughed at the "F Major" scene when Mrs Jennings and her friend were having a giggle at the expense of Elinor Dashwood! Overall though it is a great film with superb acting. Ang Lee is a brilliant director as well.… Expand

    This movie was well acted out. Some parts make you horribly mad and yelling at the TV like when Willoughby left but other than that it was good.

    Really cool movie! Emma Thompson is incredible. Good adaptation of this masterpiece of Jane Austen. In my opinion, much better than Pride and Prejudice (Keira Knightley's version).… Expand
