Snakes was the most exuberantly trashy delight of this summer movie season or last.
Looming large over all this is Jackson, who glowers and growls and acts the hero better than any actor out there.

This is a coolly efficient, tongue-in-cheek horror-comedy.
It’s the sort of picture you'll either queue all night in the rain to see twelve times or avoid like a Wayans Brothers Retrospective for the rest of life.
The audience decided to sell Snakes to itself, and that became the event--the actual movie could never have been more than another exploitation picture.
The result is not quite a horror movie (too cheerful and can-do) or a thriller (too cheerful and stupid), nor does it parody itself or take itself seriously, thereby canceling out the camp factor. It's more like an improv sketch at 30,000 feet.
Not since Pet Rocks riveted the nation have so many gotten so excited over so little.
What can I say the title basically tells you what the movie is, is about, and what's going to happen. Basically someone puts a bunch of snakes on a plane for motives I will not revieal. Honestly I liked it. Originality about 50/50 putting them on a trapped plane with dozens of snakes original. Everything else eh not really. Acting was pretty believable. Story wise I guess if you want something simple then this is good. Hell I want to give it a 6 but for some reason I feel it deserves a 7. Now, this film is by no wear means the best of its kind. I mean I never jump at any horror film because well about 80% of them are completely predictable, but I did jump a few times when them snakes jumped out. This film is probably more dark comedy/black comedy (a.k.a. Horror Comedy) if frightended easily you will be scared but you will also find funny moments along with a couple of sad I saw watch it.

I just watched a whole bunch of computer-generated snakes terrorise a flight. It was a wild flight. There isn't too much excitement as you are stuck on this small airplane for the majority of the movie. The snakes are not scary and the whole film, apart from some gross killing, is lacking any extreme violence. The action is strictly mediocre. Fun to watch but lacking any real substance at all and is often boring. This does not live up to the fun b-movie ride that it should have been.
