Son of the White Mare must be seen to be believed, but mostly it just needs to be seen.
As a narrative work, it undeniably drags: but then, that's not really its intent. This is a spectacle to be absorbed and analyzed.
The movie is a myth. It’s also an emblem of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, a fluid piece with a perspective so spatially and temporally unstuck that its shortcomings don’t hurt it too much.
