Sep 24, 20118Finally Lucas manages to create the final epic conclusion to his SF saga with a dark morale and splendid acting from Mcgregor with high tech CGI.

AndrewBFeb 26, 200910Episode III is by far the greatest film in the new trilogy, and it stands against the original 3 in epic awesomeness. An incredible conclusion to the greatest saga ever told.

EddieD.Sep 9, 20087An improvement. I think that people liked this movie WAAAAYYYY better than 1 and 2 because everyone was expecting crap. And I don't think we got crap.
-
-
Nov 16, 201110Episode III is the best of the Star Wars prequel trilogy, which reveals the story behind Anakin Skywalker's transformation into Darth Vader and a couple other surprises.

CoryC.Jun 2, 20059The morons whom talk about 'plot inconsistancies' obviously didn't pay very much attention to the story... Everything was tied together very cleverly.

-
JonathanJun 5, 20089this movie was the best out of the new trilogy, but i think the only major flaw was how padme dies after giving birth and in episode 6 leia says she remembers her mom as a sad but beautiful woman. WTF is that?? great job george lucas, its your own story and you add obvious holes in it. other than that i think it was cool how it ties in to episodes 4-6.

DaveMay 17, 200510Star Wars just got good again, and it's about time. Never before has a movie in this series moved me in such an emotional way...to the brink of tears. Sheer brilliance.

-
MatthewA.May 19, 200510Best movie of the three prequels by far I might even go as far as to say its second only to Empire,. The battle scenes are second to none. Very good movie.

-
EnigmaPubliusMay 19, 20059ROTS is a nearly perfect Star Wars movie. It certainly has as much humanity as any of the originals. And when you add to that the amazing visual beauty of this film, one can only conclude that this is an instant classic.

JosephA.May 20, 200510Completely delivered everything I'd hoped for. What is truly wonderful about EpIII, to me, is how beautifully it reaches out, pulls all 6 of these wonderful movies together, and actually adds to all of them. Thank you George Lucas for giving us this wonderful 6 part masterpiece of awesome adventure!!

-
-
JimboAug 16, 20087Has the same issues as the other prequels: bad dialogue, bad acting, bad story. It has a few memorable moments and a satisfying ending, but it still doesn't come close to the original trilogy.

Sep 19, 20108This movie is my favourite in the prequel trilogy. It reaches the emotional level the others fail to get near and the added dark 12 Rating element is exactly what was needed. Every base is covered to lead into Episode 4 and this is sure to give satisfaction to Star Wars fanatics.
-
Jan 10, 20118Even with the cheesy lines it still makes it as one of the best movies ever.

Nov 25, 20124As a fan of the first trilogy, I'm still forced to call this episode the 'best' of the second trilogy. Which doesn't help it much. A feeble attempt to 'bring things full circle ("The circle is now complete."???). Even the special effects seem hokey compared to the original 3 films. The only good thing I can say about this is that it's the last film in this set.

OptimusMimeMay 19, 20052What film are all these lovers seeing, or are they just so Star Wars obsessed that they can't, or won't, see the painful and obvious faults in this (and previous) prequels. It's a bad film, there's no other word for it, it's just a bad film. Wish it wasn't, but it is, and unlike some fans I won't pretend otherwise or blind myself to that fact.

J.H.May 21, 20056It lacked life. It was hard to get into the characters. I think many of the people that are voting this highly are remembering the action-packed ending and forgetting how poorly made the rest of it was.

ErikN.May 20, 20059Excellent final prequel movie, that really hits its stride after a weak opening sequence. After that its all dark and serious and emotionally powerful. Stunning effects. Lucas sets up the original Star Wars movie perfectly.

GaryMay 24, 200510Fabulous movie validates the first two in the prequel series and links the two trilogies together in a poetic and beautiful way. Anybody who claims to not like "Sith" really does not like Star Wars.

GeoffreyG.May 20, 20058This one is for sure better than Episodes One and Two. It has all the stuff that makes Star Wars great. Huge space battles, light saber duels, and lots of force powers. If this were on DVD and I was going to watch one Star Wars movie out of all six, this would be the one.

-
-
RicMay 27, 20055Dialogue was still awful (particularly between Padme and Anakin) and it only really picked up any of the Star Wars magic for the last 30 minutes. The great characters and interesting locations of the first three films were sadly missing. The effects were great though, and it had a few good moments.

JasonB.May 20, 20053Mostly boring, it just drags on for about the first 75 minutes before it got interesting enough for me to wake up from my near sleep. Way too far to stretch to make much of this believable - maybe I'm above the intelligence level that this episode was aimed at. The conversion of Anikin to the Dark side was far too abrupt and lost all of its

-
billybobJun 1, 20059Fantastic film. Plot could have been slightly better and the actors could have been directed with a little more effort to get the best out of them. Other than that, I believe Lucas has brought to the screen an amazing film that ties everything together - including how yoda and obe-one have life after death. Well done Lucas, can't wait for the TV series.
-
-
CameronS.Jun 1, 20059Best of the prequels by far, and probably better than ep6 until the end which is marred by really clunky dialouge. Overall, great fun to see, if not the most indepth, plot-driven film ever.

JoelNov 4, 20059Hahaha how can you say that the prequels compare dont compare to the originals when they are graphically more up to date and the battle scenes contian alot more action than all three movies of the oringinal combined. Though Id have to say the story in the originals were far better to these prequels Revenge of the Sith wraps up a triliogy that ended nicely and is well follwed up by the originals.

LetheW.Nov 6, 20050If anyone thinks they should listen to a word Lucas says, I dare any fan to watch the episodes in order I through VI (as Lucas says he intended all along). The plot holes will be large enough to drive an entire deathstar through.

RocketDec 2, 20056All i wanna know is when Anakin was little, like 5 or so,he fell for Padme, who was more than twice his age and runnin the space gov't or something, and then by the 3rd film( ROTS), Anakin was grown and Padne hadnt aged a bit ( must be that space gell she uses) but i guess she wasnt so old she still couldnt have sex and have babys( twins at that! ), hmm, if thats the future then i cant wait.

88Only now can we truly step back and admire the full tapestry that it has taken George Lucas and his ILM wizards nearly three decades to weave.
-
90The final episode of George Lucas' cinematic epic "Star Wars" ends the six-movie series on such a high note that one feels like yelling out, "Rewind!" Yes, rewind through more than 13 hours of bravery, treachery, new worlds, odd creatures and human frailty.
-
90Emerges as the best in the overall series since "The Empire Strikes Back."
