It's a heartfelt and powerful examination of faith that no serious student or enthusiast of theology or philosophy should miss.
This cinematic stiff should have stayed buried.
Indiana Jones has never been so missed, but instead this shaggy God story hones in on the faith dilemmas of Banderas and a sputtering Derek Jacobi, so Sunday-hammy you want to rivet him with cloves.
Just about every race and creed come off badly in this small-scale thriller.
If the film were a fight, they'd have stopped it.
Has shown its true colors as less a serious religious-themed film than a moth-eaten tapestry of foreign intrigue and badly miscast international stars.
Despite a premise that's provocative, to say the least, this one's a dud.
