    The most avid fans of merciless mugging will be the sole admirers of the bookending story of Liu Xiaoye's Butcher.

    Wuershan's heavy hand, never letting up for a moment to allow any air or life to enter the film, cuts off the film's energy even as it rattles relentlessly on.

    Loved it..after reading some of reviews by professional critics it leads me to believe they don't get it. The movies visuals were great and for us non-critic types we enjoy movies like this after a long week at work. Looking fw to their next movie.… Full Review »
