"Battle Royale," if you've never seen it, is a fantastically sadistic and unapologetically brutal Japanese film from 2000 about miscreants dropped on a jungle island with orders to kill each other for a reality TV show. The Condemned is pretty much the same thing with half the satirical wit and twice the number of wrestlers.
  2. The Condemned isn't post-modern junk, smirky junk, faux junk or clever junk. It's pure junk, with a certain integrity to it.

Steve Austin is conspicuously inarticulate and uncharismatic. Former soccer lout Vinnie Jones, whom no one will ever mistake for Laurence Olivier, acts rings around him.

Much better than I expected. The critics see that it's a WWE movie and automatically lower their score by at least 3 points. Vinnie Jones was hilarious as usual in this movie. Stone Cold actually was a much better actor then I anticipated. The only thing that really sucked was the camera during the fight scenes. You couldn't really tell what the hell was going on. It's obviously a knock-off to 'Battle Royale', which was much better than this of course. Not half bad though. Expand

  2. Not as bad as the critics say it is. Yes its a rather generic action film but its still enjoyable through out and suprisingly worth the watch. Its not that bad. Expand

  3. A bunch of unlikeable jerks grunting and cussing and punching and stabbing and running and shooting and hi-yaaing and sweaty boobs bouncing everywhere until all the jerks are dead and one jerk is left alive. Roll credits. So yeah, a WWE movie. Expand
