  1. Cage is a wonderful light comedian; were someone to remake "It's a Wonderful Life," he'd be on the short list for the role of George Bailey. And Leoni is Donna Reed, reborn.

A warm, glossy holiday fable that hits some surprisingly sweet notes.

Despite solid acting, it's a fantasy for those who don't know jack about what really makes for a wonderful life.

Has the airiness of a well-made souffle, springing delicate small surprises at calibrated intervals.

But in the end conventional sentiment, rather than any actual morality, is all that the script for The Family Man (by David Diamond and David Weissman) has to offer.
  6. It's a plot more worn out than the tinsel boxed up in the attic. In the end, they've given us a Christmas gift barely worth returning.

One of Nicolas Cage's most touching movies. The actors are terrific in the movie and the story is clever.

A holiday fable that is unique, amusing, dramatic, emotional and has an atmosphere unlike any other movie.

Very interesting movie. It presents the "what if"s of life in a great way and it also shows the strugle in dealing with dreams that didn't become reality. Expand

Surprised by the negative reviews from critics, I actually found this movie really enjoyable. I suppose it's a guilty pleasure of mine! It's funny at times, touching and sad. I understand that the movie could have been better, but even so, the storyline is good and the acting decent. It's a nice holiday movie and would definitely recommend. Expand

I hate Nicholas Cage, he's a crappy actor and this movie showed his true talent in a generic family movie with as evidenced by the title of the movie. I watched this movie in class for God's sake, and everyone started laughing at me in my class because they all knew my hatred of Cage. Expand
