The FP has a one-note joke of a conceit, and when that runs out, it has few actual jokes to fill the humorless void.

This purposefully bad dystopian gangsta drama - imagine a "Boyz 'n the Hood,'' "Mad Max,'' and "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo'' mash-up - simply fails.

The FP so desperately wants to be cultishly admired for its bad-taste rollout of wacko characters, ugly costumes and vulgar slang that it forgets to be genuinely offbeat or funny.

Arguably one of the most polarizing movies in the past 5yrs.. The Trost bros. Show off the fact the a big budget is the last thing a good movie needs, one of the most solid movies I've ever seen, cinematography that understands how to work HD to it's advantage and not just that but cinematography that knows how make something look cinematic. The soundtrack is appropriate and fantastic. The feel and theme remains constant and fun throughout. An an original that borrows from the greatest and not so greatest of the 80's. Dance Dance Revolution replacing the Thunderdome. Infinitely rewatchable and quotable. Full Review »
