• Starring: Christine Lakin, Joel Moore, Paris Hilton
  • Summary: Nate Cooper has been smitten with Cristabel Abbot since he first laid eyes on her at the impressionable age of six. But before he could try and snuggle up to her at nap time, or maybe send her a valentine, his family moved away. In the intervening years there have been other women in Nate's life, but none who could measure up to Cristabel. Convinced she's the only girl for him, Nate decides to move back to L.A. and track her down. The good news: she's still single and stunning. The bad news: there's a reason she's still single. Cristabel's still best friends with the same ugly little girl Nate remembers from first grade, June Phigg. The two are inseparable. They live together. They go to yoga together. They would even go on double dates together...if only June could get a date. And Cristabel simply refuses to leave dear June home alone. Determined to spend as much time as possible with Cristabel, Nate sets out to find a boyfriend for June. But even when he pays them, guys all flee at the sight of her. And then it hits him: June needs a makeover. But as Nate and June become friends and she emerges from her cocoon, Nate slowly realizes that the girl of his dreams isn't the hottie at all. It's the nottie -- who turns out to be something of a hottie herself. (Regent Releasing) Expand

  1. The Farrelly brothers could burp out a movie funnier than The Hottie & the Nottie, a farce of corrupt stereotypes that's never more grotesque than when it pretends to be more than skin-deep.
  2. Like Nate, we are mere Notties. And we are supposed to feel oh-so privileged for getting to watch Paris through the glass.
  3. Ultimately best suited for the confines of late-night cable.

This is a movie, that if you over look the Paris Hilton slow motion scenes, is actually really cute. I loved the ending, and most of the gross out humor was a little over the top, and the toe nail made me gag, but over all it was pretty decent. I would not say that Ms. Hilton is a great Actress, and it seems the only thing she is good at is looking pretty, but if you take her out of the equation and look more at the bigger picture, its a very cute romantic comedy that I would watch again. Renting only though, It wouldn't be worth the eight dollar movie theater price. Expand

Argh, Paris Hilton just irritates me. The only reason she done the film was probably to make her the centre of attention. The story line is actually quite dencent however Hilton does not give a great performance and therefore i rated the film 2 because its good but i just really don't like Paris Hilton. Expand

  3. This film easily fits into the "worst of all times" category... ah. It was almost painful to watch. You know the feeling when a film is so bad that you cannot even laugh at it anymore? It is so horrid that it is not even funny, just straight-out horrible? Well, that is "The Hottie & the Nottie". And that's just the storyline. Paris Hilton - my oh my. Such a pretentious person I have never seen on screen.. and such atrocious (lack of) acting skills!!! Horrible. Expand
