  • Summary: Nate Cooper has been smitten with Cristabel Abbot since he first laid eyes on her at the impressionable age of six. But before he could try and snuggle up to her at nap time, or maybe send her a valentine, his family moved away. In the intervening years there have been other women in Nate's life, but none who could measure up to Cristabel. Convinced she's the only girl for him, Nate decides to move back to L.A. and track her down. The good news: she's still single and stunning. The bad news: there's a reason she's still single. Cristabel's still best friends with the same ugly little girl Nate remembers from first grade, June Phigg. The two are inseparable. They live together. They go to yoga together. They would even go on double dates together...if only June could get a date. And Cristabel simply refuses to leave dear June home alone. Determined to spend as much time as possible with Cristabel, Nate sets out to find a boyfriend for June. But even when he pays them, guys all flee at the sight of her. And then it hits him: June needs a makeover. But as Nate and June become friends and she emerges from her cocoon, Nate slowly realizes that the girl of his dreams isn't the hottie at all. It's the nottie -- who turns out to be something of a hottie herself. (Regent Releasing) Collapse

  1. The Farrelly brothers could burp out a movie funnier than The Hottie & the Nottie, a farce of corrupt stereotypes that's never more grotesque than when it pretends to be more than skin-deep.
  2. Like Nate, we are mere Notties. And we are supposed to feel oh-so privileged for getting to watch Paris through the glass.

Great actors make the craft look easy. In the Paris Hilton comedy The Hottie and the Nottie, acting looks very, very difficult.

How is Paris Hilton in her first starring role to receive a national release? Pretty bad, actually. She's limited to a single, all-too-familiar expression of smug self-satisfaction, and she delivers her lines in a tone somewhere between "seductive" and "dish-soap commercial."

Crass, shrill, disingenuous, tawdry, mean-spirited, vulgar, idiotic, boring, slapdash, half-assed, and very, very unfunny.

The most astounding thing about this abysmal comedy -- aside from the fact the studio actually allowed critics within a mile of it -- is that it's so ghastly it is beneath even the meager dignity of Paris Hilton.

Most underrated movie of the decade. Haters are out in force to get this one, Paris is a very accomplished actor and so is Ashton Kutcher, and together they make a very funny, deep, emotional, thought provoking movie. One I keep coming back to over and over and always find myself enjoying it. Would recommend to everybody. Expand

The best thing while i was watching the film was the ice cream i was eating. Without it the film would be even worst. Thumbs up for the ice cream

Let's just say that Paris Hilton in a bikini is the only bright spot of this movie... Boring and...disgusting!

This film easily fits into the "worst of all times" category... ah. It was almost painful to watch. You know the feeling when a film is so bad that you cannot even laugh at it anymore? It is so horrid that it is not even funny, just straight-out horrible? Well, that is "The Hottie & the Nottie". And that's just the storyline. Paris Hilton - my oh my. Such a pretentious person I have never seen on screen.. and such atrocious (lack of) acting skills!!! Horrible. Expand

It's time for Paris Hilton to go back to Carls Jr., start making those porno movies, and go away forever. I hate her music, her shows, and her lousy crappy movies including this one. If Paris thinks she's has the definitive word "That's Hot," she should've used sunscreen and a boil of hot water. She's like Heidi Montag on steroids. But "The Hottie and the Nottie" is one of the most disgusting movies I've ever seen. Expand

The WORST movie of all time. I saw this at a friend's house, and the best part of the movie was the bowl of peanut butter ice cream I accidentally ate. And I'm allergic to peanuts. Expand

You can make fun of it, laugh at it, and it is just excellent that there were no awards for this garbage, it could have at least got a Razzie for the Worst movie of the Century. This movie is absolutely terrible. Easily the worst movie of all time, and having Paris Hilton acting was a bad idea, for such a great actress. Expand
