• Starring: Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus
  • Summary: The Last Song is set in a small Southern beach town where an estranged father gets a chance to spend the summer with his reluctant teenaged daughter, who'd rather be home in New York. 1. The three parallel love stories of daughter and dad, girlfriend and boyfriend, sister and brother, are nicely handled. Robinson is a sympathetic director of actors, allowing almost everyone their dignity. For the most part, she keeps this emotionally charged story in the schmaltz-free zone.
  2. Yet another movie marketed with the line "From the author of The Notebook," The Last Song is distinguished from other Nicholas Sparks adaptations because it's the first screenplay the best-selling novelist has written himself.
  3. Sadly, The Last Song is badly out of tune with real filmmaking.

  2. "Miley Cyrus Puts in a good effort and has a good personality , but she can not take on a lead like this , this is your basic , weepy , melodramatic , love story , but the movie has a script, and good supporting work and i did feel emotion towards the end" .. C Expand

  3. The Last Song was supposed to be an actually good Nicholas Sparks film, but Miley Cyrus's just awful and ugly performance ruins the story's potential and it ended up being way too sentimental for me. And it tries to make you cry too hard. I give this movie 8%. Expand
