One of the few (only?) documentaries about this brilliant designer, performance artist, living art piece. It's filled with commentary & breathtaking footage of Leigh Bowery doing what he did best--be Leigh Bowery. It gives a lot of insight into the man behind the outrageousness as well. I highly recommend this film.

It was a real surprise, I watched it quite by accident, and it was excellent.

In fact, the best an artist like Bowery can hope for is that he'll provide fodder for a documentary this solid.

Atlas allows Bowery's genius to retain, in the words of one admirer, "a big bundle of contradictions," not unlike his shocking designs themselves.
  3. You may find the film as outrageous as it is outlandish, and Bowery would have taken that as a compliment.
