  1. A lively, old-fashioned adventure yarn with just a twist of modern attitude, it's the kind of pleasant entertainment that allows the paying customers to have as much fun as the people on screen.
  2. This is hot-weather escapism so earnestly retrograde that it seems new.

Director Martin Campbell's lumpy direction doesn't coalesce into anything much beyond a pleasant assembly of set pieces.

  1. This movie is phenomenal and definitely one of the most underrated movies of all-time. The plot is great, everything flows wonderfully from scene to scene and it gives you that feel of a real authentic movie. The action is fantastic as well, I mean who doesn't love sword-fighting especially when its done this good. I thought characters were also well mapped out and you really do care what happens to them. 2. This Zorro is bought to the audience with a good story, great production design, no lack of action and decent acting. That's why it can be considered as the best Zorro adaption on the screen. All though as all the other Zorros, it's a bit too predictable and that's what kills the movie. Expand

  3. I'm gonna be the first user to give "The Mask of Zorro" a bad grade. I just don't get it. It seems like a telenovela in some ways, so not good. 3 points from 10. Expand
