  1. The delights of the movie lie in its zany characters, its goofy settings, and above all its surrealistic visual style.
  2. 60
It's all innocuous, forgettable fun, but it's firmly aimed at those who find underwear endlessly funny.
  3. Everything about the film seems to have been done on the cheap. The music sounds like it came from a high school band.

Ever since the beginning I loved spongebob, but when I heard about this movie I thought they had done a little too much, i thought it would suck, honestly, though I'm obsessed with spongebob. I asked my parents to let me see it and the story line made me think that it would be bad again. When I watched it I was shocked by it, it was really good and I loved it. The original humor and the wide variety of new characters made me love it even more. I find it to be a great family movie, not just for kids, adults probably would enjoy it too. Expand

Don't get me wrong, I love the Spongebob TV series, but this movie is a huge disgrace to TV's most lovable sponge. The plot is awful and pales in comparison to almost every episode of the show. The humor has also lost its comedic charm. I don't know, maybe the movie is just badly made or maybe Mr. Squarepants is just not menat for the big screen. Either way, this movie is disappointing. 3. I am a big fan of SpongeBob but I'm very disappointed. The film is way too boring...the story is way too predictable... and the voice acting is way too cheesy. The TV series is way better than the movie.......... Expand
