Comprised entirely of amateurish plotting and incredibly corny dialog, but its worst fault is that it simply does not ring true. This story could NOT happen the way it is told. One of the more serious grunts would have permanently punched the tiresome Bozz's clock very early on.

A very gripping tale about recruits being prepared for vietnam. The film is brilliantly directed and keeps you glued to the tv, it has also unearthed some unknown talent.

This is a great movie! Colin Farrell has the role down pat and creates a memorable character in Bozz! This one will be a cult classic someday.

It's worth it to see Colin Farrell's first real feature, otherwise, it's a fairly mediocre story - the dvd has Farrell's screentests - quite good.

    The entire ensemble is first-rate.
  2. Beneath the rough vérité exterior beats the same slick, corny heart.

Worth a look. It's easy to overrate -- but just as easy to undervalue.
