  1. A smart, stylish horror picture that offers a fresh twist on the ever-reliable revenge theme and affords a raft of talented young actors solid roles that show them to advantage.

A flagrantly retro example of a tired genre that would vanish in a puff of smoke if anger management classes were to enter the picture, or if it would ever occur to any one of its endless stream of victims to reach for a light switch before proceeding into a spooky place.

Looking good but lacking much in the way of personality or gray matter -- rather like its characters -- Valentine is a straightforward slasher pic that's acceptably scary until a weak finale.

It feels like both a joke and a turkey.

Valentine succeeds only in boring you to death.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Valentine is a stylish horror thriller that has plenty of creative death scenes and a complex whodunit plot. The actors have great camaraderie notably Denise Richards,

David Boreanz (AKA Angel) as Adam and Marley Shelton as his ex-girlfriend. She doesn't trust him because he's an alcoholic and he wants to start seeing her again.

One of my favourite horror movies with a terrific cast and an unpredictable, spooky ending.

The exciting parts of this movie is when the Valentine cards are shown because the messages relate to the character's deaths. The messages in the cards rhyme as in traditional gift cards but in morbid ways.

All of the victims receive the Valentine's Day cards in the mail but nobody can figure out who the murderer
    is.
