  • Starring: Craig Ferguson, Jim Cummings
  • Summary: Walt Disney Animation Studios returns to the Hundred Acre Wood with Winnie the Pooh, the first big-screen Pooh adventure from Disney animation in more than 35 years. With the charm, wit and whimsy of the original featurettes, this all-new movie reunites audiences with the philosophical "bear of very little brain" and friends Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Kanga, Roo—and last, but certainly not least, Eeyore, who has lost his tail. "Well a tail is either there or it isn't there," said Pooh. "And yours isn't... there." Owl sends the whole gang on a wild quest to save Christopher Robin from an imaginary culprit. It turns out to be a very busy day for a bear who simply set out to find some hunny. Inspired by five stories from A.A. Milne's books in Disney's classic, hand-drawn art style, Winnie the Pooh hits theaters July 15, 2011. (Walt Disney Pictures)

Winnie The Pooh is a storybook brought to life with intelligence, wit, and palpable affection; where so many kids' films try desperately to come off as hip and timely that they often feel tacky and instantly dated, Winnie The Pooh is bravely quiet, old-fashioned, and wry.

There's no bells and whistles here, no 3-D or useless grey fluff, just Pooh as he's always been, silly and true.

Don't count on special effects: it has been lovingly and traditionally animated to pay homage to E.H. Shepard's original drawings.

  1. Charming, heartwarming, just gorgeous and an animated film most wish they had the talent to make it is just beautiful and s good break from 3D. I give this movie 97%. Expand
  2. Taking it back to the roots of 2D animation, Winnie the Pooh and Disney do something that is rare and exciting in film. They make a picture perfect family friendly film that everyone in the house will enjoy. The cartoon like animation is funny and super charming at moments. A well written script helps, but a great script makes this a great film; clean humor that is super rare in cinema. My favorite animated film of the year so far. Expand
