Anna Chlumsky was born on December 3, 1980 in Chicago, Illinois to Nancy and Frank Chlumsky. She entered show business at an early age modeling with her mother in an advertising campaign. This beautiful child actress made her film debut when chosen by director Howard Zieff over thousands of competitors, for the role of the hypochondriac tomboy, Vada Sultenfuss in the 1991 movie "My Girl".
Chlumsky graduated from the University of Chicago in 2002 and is currently working in New York City as a researcher for Zagat, a restaurant review company. She has a new film due out in 2006 and is involved in off-Broadway stage productions.
