Anthony Ainley

Biography: Anthony was born in 1932 in London. He has been described as an "enigma, wrapped in a conundrum, shrouded in mystery". He is descended from two very famous English actors, his grandfather Henry was a radio, television and movie actor through the 1930's, his father Richard was also a radio, television and screen actor through the 1960's. He attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and featured in many well-known UK TV shows throughout the 60s and 70s.

His favorite singer "will always be the "Chairman of the Board, the Man from Hoboken, NJ ", Frank Sinatra. He relaxes by listening to his favorites "the uptempo Cole Porter ones arranged by Nelson Riddle, "I Get A Kick Out Of You", "I've Got You Under My Skin" and "If The Cap Fits, Wear It". Along with that, he may eat his favorite ice cream, Haagen-Dazs Praline. A keen cricketer, he continued playing after he retired from acting and up until his death in the 1990s.

Anthony never married.
