Biography: Who ever says fibbing doesn't pay, hasn't met up with Ayda Field yet! Once upon a time, Field, a Los Angeles native, was returning home after graduating from Duke University when she landed an audition to play an Italian woman on Days of Our Lives. In order to get the job, Field told the producers she had just arrived in America from Italy and came up with an entire back story to get the role, which she held for the entire season. She kept up the ruse for the first year on the show, and even used an Italian accent on the recording on her home answering machine. Making matters even more confusing, at the same time, she was cast in an episode of Arli$$ as a French woman. For this role, she changed her cell phone voice mail to a French accent. Her next role was as a Russian mail order bride in an NBC pilot. She has also appeared in Spy TV, The WB's Rescue 77 and Men, Women and Dogs. Field, an avid runner and tennis player, has completed a marathon in the impressive time of 3 hours, 33 minutes. She lives in Los Angeles with her golden retriever and three cats.
