Carolyn Culliton

Biography: Carolyn is an American soap opera writer. Her husband is Richard Culliton, another daytime writer. She is also the alumnus of Northwestern University. She started writing for daytime in 1983, when she was given the Head Writing position of "Guiding Light," but was downgraded to associate head writer position a year later. The same year, Carolyn was signed as the associate head writer for "Another World," but was downgraded to writing scripts the following year. In 1986, she was back as the associate head writer for the show and she kept the position until 1991. From 1992 to 1993, Carolyn was the associate head writer for "All My Children." In 1994, Carolyn returned to "Another World," this time as the Head Writer, and kept the position until 1995. She then returned to "Guiding Light" in 1995, but skipped to "Loving" the same year. When "Loving" was canceled, Carolyn went to write for the show's spin-off "The City" from 1995 to 1997. In 1997, Carolyn was signed as the Co-HeadCarolyn is an American soap opera writer. After briefly writing scripts for "Sunset Beach" in 1999, she was given the Co-Head writing status for "As the World Turns" and kept the position until 2001, when she was downgraded to associate head writer status and stayed with the show until 2002. In 2002, she returned to "Guiding Light" for the third time, this time as a Co-Head writer, and was downgraded back to associate head writer status in 2003. She then returned to "As the World Turns" for a brief period of time in 2004. In 2005, Carolyn joined the crew of "One Life to Live" as the script writer and most recently, in 2007, she has a double duty as the script writer and script editor for the show. Expand
