Fabrice Morvan

Biography: Fabrice Morvan was born on May 14, 1966 in Pairs, France to an architect father and pharmacist mother. He was training to ba a trampoline athlete until he injured his neck. And because of that injury, he was force to reexamine his life. He went with his grandfather, who was a musician and a fisherman, to the Caribbean. This is where he learned to hone is musical skills. At the age of 18, he moved to Germany. This is where he met his future Milli Vanilli partner Rob Pilatus. Fabrice met him is a nightclub in Munich. After the two hooked up the were set on creating a rock and soul band and headed for LA. After months of being in LA, they were hired by Arista Records. And this is were they were coupled with producer Frank Farian. At the studio Morvan and Pilatus were locked out of the studio during recording sessions. The only reason the two were hired was because of their looks. Soon after, the reality hit home when the won Grammys for their hit songs. But, just as quickly as fame hit, it was all taken away when they were exposed ad frauds. They ended up returning their Grammys. In 1993 they made a comeback attempt. And this time they came back with their own names, Rob and Fab, and stated performing their own music. After all of that has happened, Fabrice still continues to perform around LA as a solo artist. On April 5th, 1998, he lost his longtime friend, brother and recording partner Rob to an accidental combination of drugs and alcohol. This tragedy served to strengthen Fabrice and today he continues to perform and record. Expand
