Grant-Lee Phillips

Biography: Grant-Lee Phillips was born on the 1st of September 1963: in Stockton, California, USA.
Grant-Lee's passion for music was discovered at a very early age, performing at the tender age of ten. By his teenage years, grant-Lee had already performed numerous times and continued to sing on-stage at a revival house in Northern California. In 1983 Phillips went to film school in Los Angeles for a year but decided to follow his heart and stick to music and stage performances.
In 1993 Phillips band, Grant-Lee Buffalo debuted their first album Fuzzy with huge success, they started to land major concerts and performing opportunities, They went on tour with such bands as Pearl Jam and REM. This was the start of a what would become a good run for Grant-Lee's band, who released numerous hit albums. In 1995 Grant-Lee was voted Best Male Vocalist by Rolling Stones Magazine and 4 years later he began his solo career. He is also credited with the grossly under-appreciated role as Town
