Josh Mostel

Biography: Josh Mostel is an American actor who was born December 21, 1946, in New York City, New York. As a boy, Mostel sang with the Metropolitan opera, which led to a successful Broadway career. His Broadway d√├óbut was in the 1971 production of Unlikely Heroes. Although, Mostel went on to have success with other Broadway plays, he eventually branched out to feature films. Mostel has starred in dozens of movies, mostly comedies, including The Money Pit, Animal Behavior, City Slickers, Knockaround Guys, Little Man Tate and many more. However, he is best known for his role as Herod Antipas in Jesus Christ Superstar, and two of Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions, Big Daddy and Billy Madison. In the film Billy Madison, Mostel played the role of an easily manipulated school principal, Max Anderson. In Big Daddy, Mostel played a very serious social worker, Arthur Brooks. In 1983, Mostel married Peggy Rajski, however the couple divorced in 1998.
