The Rolling Stones

Biography: The Rolling Stones formed in 1962, when Mick Jagger met Keith Richards and Brian Jones. They decided that they'll form a Rhythm & Blues band. Then, Bill Wyman , Charlie Watts and Ian Stewart joined the band. In the '60s they became very successful with songs like Satisfaction, Under my Thumb, Honky Tonk Women" and Sympathy for the Devil. In 1967 they recorded a Psychedelic Rock album like a lot of bands did. The album, Their Satanic Majesties Request wasn't very successful, so they returned to the Rock 'n Roll, Blues and Country style. In 1969, Brian Jones leaves the band. He was found dead in his swimming pool later that year. He was replaced by Mick Taylor. Between 1969 and 1972 they recorded their most important albums Beggars Banquet, Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street. In 1974 Mick Taylor leaves the band and he's replaced by Ron Wood in 1976.
Discs like Some Girls and Tattoo You make the group even more popular. In 1981 and 1982 they made a huge tour around the
world. In 1989 the band recorded Steel Wheels and they start another world tour. The same year, The Rolling Stones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
In the early '90s Bill Wyman leaves the band.
They are still active and they are considered one of the greatest bands in the world.
