Tom graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from UCLA, where he won the first place Carol Burnett Award and Scholarship.
Tom started acting in 1997 when he had a small role in the movie Boogie Nights. In 2001, Tom got his break. He landed the role of Andrew on the hit show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He would play a big part in the story lines for the show's sixth and seventh seasons. After Buffy ended, Tom went on to Buffy's spin-off show, Angel, for two episodes in the series fifth season.
Tom is still active in the Buffy community and often attends conventions to meet with fans of the show.
