At its core it could be classified as a point'n'click advenutre, but the combination of wonderful graphics, great sound and a fascinating, gripping, funny and thought-provoking story makes it something much, much more. It is not often I get lost in a game like I did with Skyrim. Everything about this game screams quality and adventure. While Bethesda hasn't exactly got a track record for delivering bug-free games at launch, this has been a pleasant, polished and amazing experience so far. A much improved third-person view, amazing music, a living breathing world, a menu-system that's amazing and a game filled with interesting stuff to do. Truly a masterpiece.- Posted Nov 10, 2011

What do you get if you cross Crackdown with Pilotwings, and add a bit of Mario Galaxy and tons of style? The answer is something like Gravity Rush. The best game to grace the PS Vita so far. In many ways a technical marvel, something completely different. A great campaign spanning 12-14 hours and lots of side quests. Superb gameplay. Loveable characters. Great controls. And an amazing sandbox game. This is contender for game of the year. No doubt.- Posted May 23, 2012

Gorgeous visuals and a brilliant cast make Splinter Cell: Conviction a terrific, if a little short, singleplayer-experience. The Co-op modes bring loads of entertainment for shadowy agents and novice spies alike. Fisher's latest comes highly recommended. -

Much more approachable than its predecessor. The single-player campaign may be a little weak, but the skirmish mode is fantastic, and the multiplayer even more so. Excellent graphics and plenty of depth in the gameplay, although die-hard fans of the original may find the game watered down. -

This is like a wet dream thought up by James Cameron and Michael Bay. Forget realism and go for mindless fun. The powerplay-function is great fun when mastered. While the amount of tracks on offer is less than impressive and the car-models unimaginative, there is lot of fun to be had racing against friends online or offline. -

Simply put the best Madden ever. There I said it. The absolutely hardcore Madden players might not love the new Gameflow-system. But for everyone else it does what is says: it makes the game flow. Buy this if you have even the slightest interest in the sports. It is sharper, better and more fun than any other Madden game. -

"Huge but accessible" is the best way to describe Civilization V. You could accuse it of sacrificing depth in favor of overview and clarity, but we choose to see it as a game trimmed down to the most essential and fun parts of the series. Civ is more relevant than ever. -

Hands down the best game in the series so far. Everything is bigger, better and brighter, the combat system is vastly improved and the new weapons and tricks are very welcome. There's plenty of stuff to do, loads of side missions, and the new addition of recruiting and training other assassins is a brilliant one. The controls feel a bit wonky on occasion, but that's all we can complain about. Heartily recommended for fans and newcomers alike.- Posted Nov 18, 2010

A furious arcade racer for adrenaline junkies everywhere. Every race will put your heart in your throat and a tickle in your stomach, and the new Autolog feature, that recommends races for you based on your friends' activities, is nothing short of brilliant. Winning a race is one thing, but smashing your mate's previous record while doing it is just awesome. Disney Epic Mickey is delightful, funny, charming, highly entertaining and quite challenging game. It mostly treads familiar ground, but also has a few original ideas, and the paint/thinner mechanic gives the designers plenty of opportunities to encourage exploring. The enviroments ooze wonder and imagination, and there's always something to catch your attention and lure you off the obvious path. Without a doubt the most elaborate, polished and streamlined expansion for Blizzards MMO-monster yet. Cataclysm is so well-done that it makes The Burning Crusade, the first expansion for the game, look crude and old fashioned by comparison. At the same time, though, it has an odd feel of finality to it. Like World of Warcraft is reaching the end of what it's capable of doing. The game is aging gracefully, but you have to wonder where it can go after this.- Posted Jan 6, 2011

One of the best multiplayer games of 2010 just got better. The Vietnam setting means that most of the hi-tech gadgets from the main game are gone, which leads to a combat experience that is more up close and personal. DJ Hero 2 is the best rhythm game I've played in a long, long time. The soundtrack is boss, and the new freestyle sections are an awesome addition. Rather than just hitting buttons in time with the music, DJ Hero 2 actually makes you feel as if you have a degree of control of what comes out of the speakers. Fable III offers many new improvements over its predecessor. At the center of the game stands a revolutionary new way to deal with equipment, magic, stats, inventory, outfits, pretty much everything. This makes for a seamless and engaging experience, but also one that feels more like an action game with RPG elements than vice versa. That doesn't change the fact that Fable III is a fine, fine game.- Posted Jan 13, 2011

It's been a year since Mass Effect 2 was first released, and it's remarkable how little has changed regarding its many qualities since then. The stories of Shepard and his crew is still as gripping and well-written, the enormous universe is still as interesting to explore, and the many battles are still as filled with action and tactical challenges. It's easy to knock Gameloft for blatantly ripping off other games, but you have to be impressed with the level of quality in which they do it. There's no real news here if you're already a Street Fighter ace on the home consoles, but it's still the Street Fighter IV that we know and love. For newcomers, the little helper buttons on the touch screen are a clever addition that makes the game more accessible. Gears of War 3 towers over its otherwise great predecessors with a campaign so finely tuned that you'll have a hard time putting the controller down. There's the same dissonance between the macho-wit of the characters and the bombastic drama that the series has always suffered from, but that is easily forgiven in light of the rock solid online component and the exemplary options for co-operative play. A new an improved Max Payne, without forgetting the old guy we all have come to love and remember fondly. Purists will no doubt enjoy the fact that there is no regenerating health, and you can decide yourself how much assistance you want as far as aiming goes as you pull the left trigger - and you can turn the assist off completely if that's your preference. Competitors, pack away your tomahawks and rats and magic mumbo-jumbo. Hitman is still the king of sneaky assassins.- Posted Nov 19, 2012

A huge sandbox that promises a lot and absolutely delivers on every promise. Developed characters, great missions and a living, vibrant world makes this one trip you will not forget. Ubisoft could have easily been satisfied with just delivering a great solo game, but it throws in a great co-op and multiplayer with potential as well. This just became one of the best shooters of this year.- Posted Nov 21, 2012

The differences from previous versions of the game are miniscule, but Mass Effect 3 still offers a fantastic story with grand moments. A great place to start your Wii U collection.- Posted Dec 4, 2012

TTT2 Wii U edition is an excellent example of how to best use the Wii U. The technical side of things is top notch, and the features of the Wii U game pad are brilliantly utilized. The new game modes and mini games are highly entertaining, and the whole package just oozes quality and effort.- Posted Dec 4, 2012

The single-player campaign is completely generic, but multiplayer shines, and we can't help but be impressed with what Gamefly are able to squeeze out of the hardware. This is the kind of shooter we were hoping to see on Vita.- Posted Dec 7, 2012

Amazing visuals, great controls and superb car physics. You might hate the freemium model introduced in Real Racing 3. But if you decide to skip the game because of this, then you will miss out on the greatest mobile racer ever made for mobiles and tablets. Sure, you can always buy the cheapest pack which includes a nice BMW. After all that will only be a third of the price for Real Racing 2. Go ahead no one is looking. If not, then lock your credit card away and drop repairs until you get enough in-game currency to put some cars in your garage. After that there’s no turning back. You will be hooked.- Posted Mar 4, 2013

Telltale delivers a great sandbox with a charming story. There is enough here to make adults giggle and kids run amok. It is truly amazing how much of a fan service this is to fans of LEGO. A lacking multiplayer is the worst omission, and even with this in mind, this is easily one of TT’s best LEGO games ever. There is tons of collectibles (with some great references and cross promotion of actual LEGO sets). A must have for Wii U owners and a great game on its own.- Posted Mar 18, 2013

Gorgeous action platformer with a deep combat system and some very tricky platforming segments. Some of the best fun PSN has to offer.- Posted Apr 16, 2013

An intriguing and gripping story steeped in an atmosphere so thick you can cut it with a knife, coupled with a cool gimmick for the action sequences. Excellent while it lasts. Not a lot of replayability, though. -

If you like Harvest Moon then this is the game for you. Lots of freedom only hampered by an annoying camera. Not an original game by any means, but an enjoyable experience nonetheless. -

This is more of what we hated and loved about the original game. The sequel offers amazing freedom and a huge playground, but is still bugged by the sloppy controls. Just Cause 2 is hugely entertaining though, and that is reason enough to return with Rico. -

This is a Western done the Hollywood-way, that is if Hollywood was in Japan. Simple story, but really atmospheric settings coupled with great controls makes this everything the first game should have been. -

Call of Duty meets Mario Kart in this blazing racer. Get it for the deep online experience and the highly chaotic battles that come with it. -
