It's a fantastic follow-up, probably one of the best sequels you'll ever play, one that actually takes the complaints of the first game and improves upon them tenfold. -

So if you are a fan of the NHL or even just a casual fan of sports, you should do yourself a service and pick up a copy of NHL 10. In one word…Amazing! -

BlazBlue's online system puts titles like Street Fighter IV to shame, and the overall beauty of high-def 2D sprites put it at the top of the graphics department as well. -

All together, if you've been looking for one racer to satisfy you this year, then Forza 3 is going to be it. I've played the big ones this year, stuff like Dirt 2 and Need for Speed Shift, and Forza 3 is still hands down the best I've had a chance to check out this year, and it's certainly the racing game to get. -

There is so much here to play; it's very much two games in one. Not only do you have the single player campaign to play through, which can also be done via adhoc Co-Op, but there's also a 6 player competitive mode like Metal Gear Online. -

The fighting is simple enough for anyone to pick up and check out, whether they've played a Street Fighter game in the past decade, or are new to fighters in general. At the same time, there's enough options here to keep high level players interested and entertained, and a diverse enough roster of characters to keep the action from being mundane and boring. Tie that to a multiplayer system that works really well, with the occasional lag issues of course, and you've got what amounts to the best fighter on the Wii at this moment in time. -

The intensity, excitement, and frantic pacing that FIFA brings to the table mimics the real thing so perfectly, it's hard not to become a fan after just a few scrimmages. -

Besides being the best R&C adventure yet, it's definitely one of those rare games that puts a smile on your face from the second it begins. -

A fantastic title on the PSN, and one that nobody should overlook. It'll easily appeal to all players, and manages to turn a pretty stale formula on it's ear without really tossing a great deal of new play mechanics your way. -

It's easily my favorite in the handheld series at least, and it gives the console Paper Mario titles a run for their money. -

The matchmaking is quick and really does a great job of keeping you within your skill rank, and the added modes are worthwhile and fun to play. So whether you're a vet of the first game or a newcomer, I'd say Super Street Fighter IV is absolutely worth checking out. -

If you've felt that the series has started to get a little stale, on the other hand, then I think Midnight Carnival will be the game for you. The game is full of great level designs with a difficulty to match, and the challenge makes it a far more addictive experience than the previous two titles for me. -

Do they look anywhere near as stunning as Uncharted 2 or the upcoming God of War III? Not a chance. Do they look as good or play as or better than some early next generation games? They do actually, thanks to the high production values, especially II. -

A fantastic piece of downloadable software, PixelJunk Shooter becomes another reason that the PSN stands on its own two legs against Microsoft's XBLA. -

It probably goes without saying that this is one of the most gorgeous games to grace a video game console. FFXIII's in-game graphics look like other games' cutscenes. Its cutscenes look like other games' full motion video, and its full motion video looks like a Hollywood blockbuster. -

PS3 owners should be elated to know that his final quest for revenge is a visually spectacular, challenging, rage filled, high quality one. -

Of course no game is EVER perfect, but damn if it doesn't throw a shutout to the other baseball games out there. -

The throwback to classic RE featured in the Mansion and Underground sequence is a nice change of pace from the rest of RE5, and while the story revelations aren't earth shattering, there's enough revealed that lore hounds will find something interesting. -

For the causal or first time gamer, I will warn you that there is quite the learning curve to this year's game, but the payoff is huge, especially in the created golfer realm. -
