I really enjoyed El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron as it provides gamers with something a little left out of centre with some gorgeous graphics, simplistic yet challenging gameplay and a world that is so different that you will be craving to come back.

In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock and the minor tweaks in the game definitely makes it a fun experience. The quest mode is a blast to play and with its mythological heavy metal inspired story, it's definitely a great incentive to get players to finish the title.

Red Faction: Guerrilla might be missing the polish of GTA IV, but it gets the core elements right and its stand out feature does an excellent job of making it stand out.

Mark of the Ninja is a refreshing approach to the stealth genre, which has seen its fair share of mediocre hybrids of stealth and action over the years. Although it might be a little frustrating as the difficulty level at the beginning of the game is set rather high, once you get the hang of the controls (which are a little awkward) and you've discovered the best ways to take out your enemies, it's an extremely enjoyable experience that warrants a second play through in order to discover all the possibilities.

While there are still some niggling bugs and tweaks needed to speed up a terrible menu system and hopefully correct the audio, the game is a solid release that has enough strong features to make it a worthy purchase.

At the end of the day, Total War: Shogun 2 - Fall of the Samurai is a fun game if you like this genre of PC gaming that contains a very sturdy interface with some lush graphics and political intrigue thrown into the mix.

Dead Island is a brilliant game and if you want to take this game one step further, the cooperative mode online truly transcends the single-player experience.

Ultimately it's a very enjoyable game. If you've never played Civ before, go for it. If you loved Civ 4, there will be things in Civ that will impress, but a few dumbed-down changes that may annoy. But hey, that's why God invented Updates.

At times, Final Fantasy XIII-2 does become a little convoluted but somehow it successfully creates a modern fairytale of good versus evil.

With a diverse and entertaining soundtrack, Beat the Beat Rhythm Paradise is truly a game that the Nintendo Wii needed and will keep you busy until the release of the Wii-U. Who would have thought that the A button and to an extent the B button could create some bizarre gaming experience that is actually quite fun to play. Kewl!

Double Dragon Neon won't be for everyone but for those that grew up on the brawler genre and love the throw back titles, you will not be disappointed. Double Dragon Neon is a great example of rebooting a franchise and doing it right and for a measly 800 Microsoft points you can't really go wrong

God of War Ascension contains all the bigger than Ben Hur gameplay from the series and is another enjoyable Kratos experience. However as this game happens before many key elements of Kratos story, it does feel a little smaller in terms of scope. This is not to say that God of War Ascension is a bad game but it does feel a little limited opposed to Kratos with all his godlike powers.

With the inclusion of Zombies, Borderlands: the Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is actually not more of the same and definitely throws a curve ball into the genre and as Zombies are the in thing at the moment, it's great to send these undead back to their graves for good, just make sure you have some wet wipes available because it's going to get messy!

With that said, there's not much you can really say about Sudoku the Puzzle Game Collection as it has definitely been made for fans of Sudoku or similar puzzle games. Even if you are not a fan or have never tried Sudoku before, the games tutorial is actually quite good and will teach you the basics of navigating the numbers for the various puzzles.

PES 2014 really challenges the world of video game soccer games by implementing revised gaming mechanics and some impressive use of physics. It's a shame that the game does not have full licensing rights but if you're a fan of soccer, you really need to check this game out, especially for its local and online gameplay.

Skylanders Swap Force definitely takes this franchise to the next level up that we had a ball playing. It may not be as refined as Disney Infinity (I guess it does help when you have the Disney vault of characters available) but in terms of local and online play, there's something quite enjoyable about seeing your action figures come alive in the virtual world.
