While the game builds on the legacy of its previous installments, it also repeats old mistakes. Only for the tolerant camp of the series' hardcore fans. [Issue#245]

Failure of the year – first two games don't deserve such a disappointing sequel as Stronghold 3 did. Few pros cannot hide a pile of bugs and bad design decisions. [Dec 2011]

Puzzle game can't keep a player's attention for more then a few minutes, the story is extremely stupid and visuals are ugly. Hands off there are a lot more of better titles. [July 2010]

Perfect example of how games should not be created. Third installment of popular series throws away almost all the good things from previous parts and introduces weak story with embarrassing heroes. [Issue#208]
