With its simple aspiration to be a digital instrument, Keytari succeeds at what it strives to do, but it's very hard to justify splashing out for an app that does so little.

Kids and kids-at-heart may get a thrill out of seeing dinosaurs kinda-sorta duke it out in 3D, but the game itself fails to offer much beyond its really simple structure and fight mechanics, both of which get old just a little too quick.

There are so many other puzzle games on the 3DS that are far more enjoyable and engaging, so we suggest you look elsewhere unless you really, really like word searches.

There's simply not enough content in The Trash Pack to justify its price, but we will say that the mini-games - forgettable as they are - control well and serve their modest purposes. It's a release that suffers not because it does anything particularly wrong, but because there's almost no reason to recommend it. Die-hard fans of the toy line may enjoy adding this to their collections, but we doubt anybody else will be impressed.

A bit of a let down and feels like a step backwards in terms of gameplay as the game itself is little more than one massive scavenger hunt with most of the storyline progressing through bland, boring cut-scenes.

If you truly miss this type of game it may be for you, but the vast majority of players will be better served saving their hard-earned cash.

Farm Frenzy is a bland time and resource management game with limited content and flawed execution. There are plenty of similar, better options on DSiWare, so try one of those instead or you'll end up udderly disappointed.

Pixel Hunter is a great concept that unfortunately falls flat and fails to deliver. Bland level design, average gameplay, an unmemorable soundtrack and a lack of any interesting narrative or purpose combine to make a game that's likely to be a pass for most 3DS players. If you would like to play an engaging sidescrolling shooter, we highly recommend you check out the great options on the Virtual Console instead.

If you played and enjoyed Glory of Generals and are looking for more, this is exactly that - for everyone else, we'd recommend conscientious objection, or defection to Advance Wars' colourful camp.

Ice Cream Surfer gets some of the basics right and offers players a crazy, wacky world, with colourful locales and varied, interesting enemies. Unfortunately, the game built around that world is just not particularly fun to play, with little challenge, poor presentation, some annoying gameplay quirks and almost no replay value.

The simple fact of the matter is that this game is just too sluggish and doesn't offer up enough gameplay variety to keep most people's interest for more than a few minutes.

When licensed titles are developed with more love and care β€” see the potential of Disney Infinity and some others from studios such as WayForward β€” it's difficult to play a rushed and dull product like this one. It's destined for the bargain bin once the movie is out of theaters, and there are simply too many good racing titles out there to warrant a purchase. Players are advised to steer clear and spend their time and money elsewhere.

My Exotic Farm is a functional, cute farm management sim; at an affordable $4.99 price point it's also decent value. But beneath the kid-friendly exterior, it's nothing more than an empty test of your micromanagement and grinding skills.

This is the exact type of game that has the opportunity to build off of its predecessor, but instead sticks to the basics and ends up suffering for it.

It's bad enough that Master of Illusion: Funny Face is essentially a two-trick version of some fairly simplistic card gimmicks, but worst of is the fact that the developers couldn't even bother to come up with two new tricks: they pulled two existing ones out of the DS retail release from a couple years back.

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric is a worrying misstep for Sega. While we applaud the idea of refreshing the characters for newer audiences, Rise of Lyric feels like a mishmash of ideas that never got to fully develop.

Overall this third Master of Illusion DSiWare release is probably the strongest one yet, but that's still not saying much. There's just not enough content included to warrant even the mere 200 Nintendo Points the game costs.

Lets the series down; it feels more like a tech demo than anything else – there's no replay value because high-scores and full games have been removed, and then you have to be content with the fact that there are only 20 microgames to play (instead of the hundreds available in every other WarioWare!)

It may be a worthwhile purchase for those who skipped First Semester, but bear in mind that this release assumes you already know how to use the tools and interface, so...good luck with that.

As it stands now, however, Draw 2 Survive does not offer much more than the occasional waster of a few minutes' time. What it could provide, however, might make it worth keeping an eye on for when its content crosses the finish line.

It's respectable to see a clever title developed for the eShop on a tiny budget by such a small development team, but IQ Test's gags quickly wear thin with a high price point for a shallow experience.

Funk of Titans wants to draw players in with an outlandish, seemingly arbitrary aesthetic that mixes Greek mythology with funk music. Unfortunately, it fails to go all the way with this theme, and ends up a tedious and surprisingly generic auto-runner.

Escape Trick: Ninja Castle is essentially a book of puzzles in graphical adventure form. Its low-pressure "tap and see" approach is bound to appeal to certain gamers, but it's just as likely to leave others feeling bored and annoyed.

Arkanoid DS disappoints in so many ways. Even with a retail price of $19.99, the game is just not worth picking up. If you're looking for a great remake of a classic arcade game, then pick up Taito's other retro remake - Space Invaders Extreme.

Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON'T KNOW! for 3DS is less playable than its Wii U counterpart, and its cut corners show everywhere; it’s not the game that Adventure Time fans deserve or should expect from a developer like WayForward.

007 Legends' greatest failing is that it cherry picks moments from Bond's illustrious history but fails to capture their hearts, all the while lacking self-generated value as its own game. Die-hard Bond fans will feel underwhelmed - if not peeved - by the treatment of these films, and the lowest-common-denominator approach to gameplay is downright bland.
