  • Summary: Dealing with life in a studio at NBC's 30 Rockefeller Plaza (the title is a shortening of that), the show centers around Liz Lemon, played by Saturday Night Live's Tina Fey, who's the head writer of The Girlie Show. When her old boss dies and a new boss comes in (Alec Baldwin as Jack Donaghy), demanding the addition of a volatile former movie star (and re-branding the show TGS with Tracy Jordan in the process), Liz must figure out how to keep things running smoothly without losing her mind.
Jane Krakowski plays Liz's friend Jenna Maroney, the former headlining star who's all too aware her time to rely on her look is running out.
Tracy Morgan plays Tracy Jordan, and out-of-control comedy star whose movie career vanished.
Scott Adsit plays producer (and Liz's confidant) Pete Hornberger.
Judah Freidlander is writer Frank Rossitano, a slovenly man who's into porn and comic books.
Jack McBrayer plays NBC page Kenneth Parcell, a naive Georgia man who seems to always let NYC get the best of him.

30 Rock continues to amaze me. Every episode is better than the last and through the genius of Tina Fey each episode is solid as a rock (no pun intended). No episode is weak; it's crazy but true. It just delivers week in and week out. I recommend it to anybody and everybody. It will not disappoint! MentaLiz FTW! Expand

I just watched the East Coast live show. I'm on the West Coast, so I saw that live show first. Not much difference, but they are so great. I try to watch SNL every once in awhile, but it's not worth it anymore, and this feels like it should be. Using Julia Louis-Dreyfus as the flashback Liz is so funny. Great job 30 Rock! Expand

The best comedy on television continues to deliver hilarious line after line. Even at its worst, this show continues to deliver more laughs per 22 minutes than a Seinfeld mashup on Youtube. Probably the best part of the show is the physical humor. Expand

After last season's decline in quality, it's refreshing to see how fast the show found its footing again. I don't know how many years the cast and crew will keep it up, but as of now, 30 Rock is still the most consistently funny sitcom on television still airing (we all know the winner of funniest show ever made goes to Arrested Development). 30 Rock Season 5 was not up to par with previous seasons of 30 Rock. The end of the season was less then impressive, but the rest of the season managed pretty well. It seemed as if a lot of wheels were spinning, with Jack getting married and having a kid and all, as that completely destroyed the on and off sexual tension between Jack and Liz. However, 30 Rock was still very funny. Season 5 delivered a lot of laughs, and that is what you ask for in a comedy show. The characters still seem real and the plots fresh. So overall, Season 5 was not as good as previous seasons, but it was still pretty great. Expand

Season 5: I can't believe I am saying this but I feel that this season of 30 Rock was just completely boring. It wasn't funny and the story line is over four years old. 30 Rock needs to step it up next season and find some good writing like they had before or they can risk being cancelled. Expand
