    This is going to be the worst new season of Idol in 2013. I thought my New Year's prediction was going to be true that Idol's gonna be a big success, until last night I watched the premiere and it was terrible. Very, Very terrible. Fox needs to do something about American Idol, the aging 11-year-old singing competition that will put to the test against Dancing With the Stars and The Voice. I'm gonna set my DVR and watch season 4 of The Voice this March and I hope DWTS could add new stars may not be as disappointing as the so-called "All-Stars" version. I have an idea. Cancel The X Factor and bring back Simon and Paula on Idol.… Collapse

    No matter who takes the title, these early rounds of Idol are win-win for everyone: Viewers get some good triumph-of-the-underdog stories; Carey and Minaj get to feel like they're back in high school; and the contestants get to dream of being showered with confetti in the finale and later achieving their best shot at a long-term career in this troubled music industry--ending up right back on American Idol, as a judge.
